I've never heard of that saying
and I dont like the way its worded
rarely is anything like that worth dying for
they should be both really
people make them all the time..ewith everything from small things like
I promise ill come see you, dont do that...ok I promise I wont
to saying I love you
it all depends on the pople involved really
I don't agree. a promse is a promise, it's not a word you should throw around casually, look t up in the dctionary
'A promise (also called troth) is a psychological contract indicating a transaction between two persons whereby the first person undertakes in the future to render some service or gift to the second person or devotes something valuable now and here to his or her use. A promise may also refer to any kind of vow or guarantee'
I never make a promise to my children unless I can definately stumo up with what promised in the first plae, it's like the foundation of sincerity... I think it's up there with 'I swear on my life'...I don't EVER lie with that, my hubby gets me out all the time with that one - git!

Promise , important or casual ?

Its better to die than to break a promise. Does this saying still stand . Or do you agree with the words ?
