What should I wear?

So yesturday I aked a qustion about how I should tell my boy friend that I don't want to go with him but I thought it though and I decided that I want to go with him, because I love him and we should spend that night togeather. And the cool thing is that my mom is okay with it. But I have one promble what should I wear. I want to wear a dress, but shoes my friend is wearing flip flops so should I or something eles? Remember home coming dance...

I personally wouldn't wear flip flops.
