What's a good way to ask my girlfriend to prom?

I've been going out with my girlfriend for 8 months now and prom is just around the corner and want to ask her to go with me in a really special way that will make her really happy, any ideas?

ask her parents if you cud come over just for a lil while.if they let you,you can go up to her room and even (I know this sounds corny) spread rose pedals all over her room. You can bring anything else if you want to.once she sees you in her room, she'll have no choice but to say yes.one of my friend's boyfriend did that for her and she told everyone that it was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for her.give it try!
