Well what really worked for me is closing my door (if you alone that is but in college one always tend to have a roommate), turning my phone off, face away from the window, have a lamp in my desk b/c its always better than an overhead. Sit with some warm tea (and another snack) and just work away. Only get up to go to the bathroom, dont turn on the tv or radio and definitely dont answer the phone.
what helps me sometimes also is getting rid of excess energy by going to the gym or hanging with some friends for a LIMITED amount of time.
trying going to the library, finding a quiet corner etc
the goal is to remove yourself from things you know can distract you.

Does anyone know some good tips on how NOT to procrastinate and to focus more? I need some creative ideas that will help be more motivated and stick to a good routine for this year at college. Thanks!
