Does my boyfriend feel guilty and want me back?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 years...since 2003 until 2007 now. he was very sweet...happy with me he even told me he loved me to bits..he even knew my family and I knew his..because our family are like best mates! he was feeling insecure always had this fear that someone will take me away from him! but I convinced him nothing like that will happen! as the year went past I had a look at his mobile phone and saw lots of text messages from a persons named stored as "honey" I asked him but he didnt respond back properly just sed "I dont know her" thenm in 2006 he went abroad for his univeristy course..he used to text a lot beofre but since he went university.. he cut back! he didnt text me aat all! I used to ring him contact him...if I text him on his mobile he woukldnt answer...but if I call him he would answer straight away and would sound very happy! last week he misscalled me and I rang him back...I was very happy tto hear from him...and he sounded low like he didnt want to mention anything and soon says "I dont miss you" I was like what? what you saying he explained..."I dont miss you..im seeing someone else" believe me he was sounding proper down! I asked who is it how long isiyt been going for he replied " 1 weekim giving her a shot" {{dont know what that means}} I sed oh ok what is her name I asked...he took good 5 seconds and told me her name. I sed "whats this it hought you sed you loved me"...he goes "I do...I want both " I sed "u cant have both you wud have to choose!" he goes iw ill tell you later...and oh my god he sounded really down! then I heard his mates gigglin at the back ground I asked him was he serious and he kept on saying yehhh...yehhh! in a voice that wouldnt seem right more like guilty...then he giggled and sed "oh she kissed me and hugged me" I thought he was joking so I sed "oi cut it out" then I said I gota go and put the phone down on him because I nearly burst into tears...2 months later I get a phonecall from my uncle saying "your boyfriend rang me couple days ago..." I reponded backs aying he sed you n him split up" I sed "yeh we did was he hapy sad?" he goes "he was not good" that basically means...he aint taking the breakup well because I thought him breaking with me would seem he was happy! another week goes past again my uncle rings me aagain saying "you guy rang me again...he isnt very good! he misses you..and he was ill last weekend" I just froze...I keep thinking whats he playing at...? does he want me back? is he feeling guilty? help! keep this email anonymous please! I just want to know if he loves me or not ad if hes feeling guilty and wnats me back or not! help xx

Since its been a while since you have spoken, give him a call and ask if he is ok. Say you heard he was ill and wanted to know he was ok. If you dont want him back leave it at that. Just a check up call. But if you do want to see how things are, ask him if he is still with that girl and if he says yes leave it also. But if he says no then you can have a chat and see what he has to say.
