How to get a background to show on a private myspace?

Can you explain to me how to get a background to show up when people see that my profile is private?
Please!
I tried the myspace profile editor...but it still didn't work.
Maybe I used the wrong one?
I don't know...But I'm tired of it being so boring. ...

=)
I see other people doing it...but I can't figure it out.
Help me please!
