prison relationships

ok well I have this friend in prison right and I really like him. we grow up together when we were younger and doing that time he was on the wrong path and end up in prison. well he has been in prison since 2000 and he is finally coming home in 2009 and he wants to be with me and start a family. my question is should I go through with this being that he was locked up so long. I am scared that he might be prison bound in his mind. dont know that to do.. help

well I guess it would depend on what he was in for.. to me

but if its not that bad why not if you guys like each other and you both can suposrt a family why not go for it =]
