Present idea gone bad...please help

Okay so my boyfriend is turning 19 in a couple weeks and I cant think of anything to get him! We've been together two years now so I swear I've gotten him everything in the book..and made him a lot too...
I ordered this guitar off of ebay and I was going to surprize him with it and a cheescake with his room full of balloons...cept the guitar came in and its a piece of +++=( so now im stuck..and very bummed because I think that wouldve been a great birthday surprize...

So anyone have ideas??

well if you cat think of any thing go out to the movies or out to eat then go home and give him a surprise you know down south that would be better than any present I would get just be romantic.

yeah but I dont see that as "special" because we always do that kinda stuff just to do it lol.

Whats wrong with the guitar? Its amazing what you can do with a guitar if you service it.
Can you bring it to a shop and get new strings on it, get the truss rod checked and adjusted if nessecary, get the bridge and nut taken down to improve the action and give it a polish.. It may not be too bad.
I think you should go with it, its a wicked good present, really thoughfull, even if the guitar sucks I would be really chuffed with the though gone into it. He's a lucky boy
