Preppy cheerleader? anyone...

Yeah so I'm captian of cheer at my school k-dubb.
Anyways if your a captain of cheer are you obligated to date a damned football player?
Since when had this stereotype start?
All and most of football players are just dudes with a big ego on a power trip...

trying to devistate some poor girl into dating them.

You should never be obligated to date anyone, it should always be up to you.
Just because someone is a football player and you're a cheerleader doesn't necessarily mean you're compatible enough to have a good relationship. I think you should be with someone you 'click' with and are attracted to emotionally no matter what stereotype he is.

I was captain of the Poms squad and I used to date fb players but only cause it just happened that way...I usually dated the shy quiet one who plays just cause he loves to lol I go for the athletic ones so I guess thats how that happens

but you dont have to date anyone you dont want to date it shouldnt matter if they are or are not football players...

im sure exactley when that sterotype came around but its been around for a long time and I think it just has to do with the clicks...just remember there are exceptions to every rule

Im the cheerleading captain for my school too! I have a football boyfriend, but I had been bestfriends with him for 2 years, and then we have gone out for 9 months, I can honestly say I love him. Anyways, I hate stereotypes bout cheerleaders beiing sluts and hoes...the girls on my squad are straight A students who have futures..ya know. And you shouldnt HAVE to date a football player...only if you want to.
