Pregnecy test

If you take a at home pregnency test you can get a false negitive,... But can you get a false positive??

It's VERY VERY rare to get a false positive, if you do get one - it's because the test was faulty that is why you should always take more than one test.

In order to get a positive pregnancy test - you have to have a certain hormone in you that only pregnant women have, if you don't it wont show up positive unless the test if faulty. Again, always take more than one test.

Well I would assume if the home preg test is postive, most would follow it with blood test.

umm, I THINK I have heard of it. not sure. if someone wasn't sure they could always take another one. pregnancy tests are usually reliable though.

My friends doctor told her if its positive then your pregnant and there is no false pregnancy.

There are such things as falty test though. I remember about a year ago - they had a couple of boxes of faulty test that were sent out to the dollar store that had to get recalled. That was after a bunch of women had already taken the test and thought they were pregnant.

Again - always take 2 test!
