My period is very irregular. I have not had my period for three months now. During the first month, I had a pregnancy test and it showed negative. But is it possible I can be pregnant right now? Can one be pregnant without having her period first?

if your having sex there is always a chance of being pregnant. it doesn't matter what your menstrual cycle is like. the only way to be sure if your pregnant or not is to go to the doctor or a health clinic and get a blood test done. if you want to have a regular period so that you can be more certain that your not pregnant talk to your doctor about going on birth control. it does protect against pregnancy, regulate your period and sometims give you a ligher period with less pain.

Dear dottieunice,
This is a question sure enough for a doctor to answer. But an educated guess would be yes. Talking to a doctor as to why your irregular in the first place may be insightful as well. Sue...good luck
