I have a 2 year old shih tzu that I believe is pregnant because she tied w/ our male twice . it was a planned pregnancy and I did lots of research before and still am as I am still learning new things. we only breed twice do to it being what we thought...
was safest for her and the puppys from what I've learned . question is w/ food . we already feed her pinnacles which is a top of the line expensive dog food . the ingred. on the one we use is protien 42 % , fat 22% , fiber 2% w/ a higher caloric content than typical dog food . is that possibly to high esp. if I am giving her a little cottage cheese and etc.. each day . I also give her a little sweet potatoe and reg. potatoes at times and chicken and rice w / this food . we dont want to over do it . I can tell you my babies are spoiled but we dont feed table scraps so to speak . the food is specific and prepared w/ pinnacles dog food . also is it safe to feed celery to her while pregnant as long as it doesnt interfer w/ her getting enough of what she needs ?
