Pregnant beta

The store sold my 9 year old son 2 betas. One male and one female. They gave him a tank with a divider, and then told him the female was prenant and due in november. I obviously was not with him, he was with the sitter. Then they just let him walk out of the store. What am I suppose to do ??? How do I prepare and take care of them??? Do they need to stay seperate or together???
