If you started your period after unprotected sex, then you are most likely not pregnant. If you had been pregnant, the hormones typical of pregnancy would have prevented menstruation from occurring, causing a missed period. When a woman starts her period, this signals that she is not pregnant.
However, having unprotected penile-vaginal intercourse again in the future puts you at risk of becoming pregnant and/or contracting STDs. I strongly recommend that you look into using some form of contraception. Using contraception greatly decreases your risk of getting pregnant, and condoms can also protect you from some sexually-transmitted diseases and infections. There are many methods of contraception to choose from and I hope that you can choose one or more methods that work best for you and your partner. Good luck and be safe!
If a woman is pregnant and experiencing bleeding, it is NOT her period. No matter what so many women will say, ANY bleeding during pregnancy is not normal. If you begin to bleed around the estimated time your period was scheduled to start, this is most likely your normal period and you are not pregnant.
