That is untrue. I teach middle school sex ed. You can still have your period eventhough you might be pregnant. Is it likely, no. Has it happened, yes. One reason is if twins run in your family, you would have two eggs to be fertilized. If only on egg is fertilized than the other one with shed from the lining of your uterus. Also some times the fertilized egg stays in your fallopin tubes (place of contraception) and it takes days to travel to the uterus. If it isn't there in time prior to the shedding, you might get your period but be pregnant at the same time.
