I am 19 and I have a three year old daughter. I am trying to get pregnant, but I havent had a real period in a year. My doctor put me on medicine to start. I did in feb,but I havent had another one since. I was wondering if anyone had any advise on why I am not having a period and why I cant get pregnant. I know you can still ovulate when you don't have a period, but what causes you not to be able to get pregnant?

there isn't one person on here who can conclusivly give you a result, and no one should claiming to be able to either!!

your doctor should have done some blood tests to see if there was any abnormalities in your hormone levels...

not having is very frustrating, I appreciate that, but were you periods regular before? have you been on any other contraception?

before you have sex, I would go back to your doctor, if there is an imbalance in your hormone levels, getting pregnant may do one of two things...regulate your hormones, or throw them out of sync which could be problamatic for your pregnancy...

either way, you need to go nack to your doctors, just for reassurance if need be. regulating your hormones again takes time, and your body needs to adjust to menstrating again...just contact your doc, explain your concerns, but sometimes, our body's do things that there simply isn't a diagnosis for...

good luck!
