at least wait two weeks before taking a test?

if you are on the pill you should take it every single day around the same time to avoid the majority of the chance of becoming pregnant. But there is always a chance of becoming pregnant esp if you miss pills or let the guy go inside your vagina when there is no birth control in effect. So wait until your next period and if it doesnt come then take a test.
