I failed the home pregnancy test could I still be pregnant?

It's possible, you could have tested too early. Most tests aren't accurate until your missed period (there are some early response ones but make sure it says that on the box). If you have a missed period with a negative pregnancy test, wait a week and test again.

You can't fail a pregnancy test - you pee on the stick and it says negative or positive.

I'm assuming the test was negative...if it was too early, it could be false...try again in a couple weeks.

Some illnesses have the same symptoms as a pregnancy. Go to the doctor, because if you're ill, better know that soon so they can take care of it.
If it's been more than 28 days after your last period and you're not having one, you still may be sick.

There are 5 simple signs that are the first signs of pregnancy.

If you give it a couple weeks and keep an eye out for these signs buy another one, check the expiration date on the box and try it again...
If your really worried about it you can go to the doctor... but if they're going to have you just pee its the same thing as the store bought test... at least get blood work.
