When is the best time to have sex if you dont want to get pregnant? I know the easist time to get pregnant is when your ovulaitng, so would the day you finish your period be okay?

Well theres never a completely safe time, but right after your period is when it is "safer" I'm pretty sure. If you don't want to get pregnant though use a condom, not only does it protect you from pregnancy but also std's.

You can get pregnant anytime since sometimes you ovulate even when you are not supposed too (even during your period)! Also sprem can live many days inside of you therefore you could have sex when you haven't ovulated and then ovulate a few days later and get pregnant. It's hard to pin point when the best time is. Most people who use the calendar method (which is highly innefective) take their temperature everyday to know when they have ovulated (your temperature goes up one degree) to avoid getting pregnant. The best time would probably be during your period since this is the time where your body is evacutating what would have kept your insementated ovula alive. The week after your period would also be a time where you could possibly not get pregnant but the chances get higher because of the fact that the semen stays alive for many days. That week your body is reconstructing the "nest" needed. Either way, it's never a good idea to have unprotected sex if you don't want to get pregnant or STD's.
