Why am I spotting when I'm pregnant?

I am about 1 month preg going on about 2 this is my frist time being preg and I dont no about something!!!

I was doing some light bleeding the other night and got scared so I called my OB and he said to go get looked at to make sure I was alright well I went and they did test everything came back fine and they said that I didnt miscarrige .it sopped then it started agine!!! there is some Cramping its not bad at all!! and the blooed is still light
my OB said that some women will have some bleeding and cramping while they are preg and told me to rest whys that? and is that ture that some women bleed ? someone said that its like a perido is that true will someone help plzz

It's only like a period in that you're bleeding. But it's not the same kind of bleeding. I would call your health care physician to make sure everything's fine.

im not that smart but I was just learning about this in child development class.
my teacher said sometimes there is irregular bleeding during early stages of pregnancy.
& I dont think you should worry about it.

I had that kind of spotting every month (at period time) for the first few months of a successful pregnancy. Scary, but not a problem.

Just think of your inside expanding so that there can be a baby in there. Your tummy is expanding therefore causing some slight bleeding. It's normal for the first three months. No worries.
