My b/f and I were fooling around about 2 weeks ago. He had some pre-c*m on his hands but wiped them off. Then he fingered me. I am irregular when it comes to my periods and usually don't get my period for a month or 2 at times. Usually, I would not be worried. But this is the first time we have done this. And I have heard that there is some sperm on precum. But I'm wondering if I can become pregnant from this! I'M REALLY SCARED!! Can anyone help?!?

Thanx everyone for your replies! I just got my period today!! Phew!! That was close!! We certainly learned our lesson!

No... don't worry hun. You aren't pregnant. If the c*m was on his fingers, it was exposed to the air, and therefore, died. I have the same problem with being irregular, except I haven't had a period since April. So, I'm just a tad worse, LOL! But no, don't worry, your definantly NOT pregnant. Your fine.

oxygen does NOT kill sperm. THAT IS A MYTH!! if he really did wipe it all off you might be okay. just dont freak out because that will get you stressed and screw your period up. just keep an eye on your period. I'm sure you'll be fine. however, in the future, tell him to wash his hands.
best to you.

Yes Get a pregnancy test asap. Although unlikely sperm are very tough to get to their target.
A test would put your minds at rest and next time be really careful,

Dear ilovemybf,
Yes, yes...sperm stays alive for several hours exposed to air. Not knowing this is why young teens get pregnant because they listen to bad advice. This is why we say always use a condom not just for STDs but protection against sperm being spread where you don't want it. It can live on hands, under nails, on towels, on clothes etc. for several hours. If in doubt speak with your doctor and he'll confirm.
Sue...good luck

Sperm do stay alive for 2 -3 hours as long as it's moist.(if he wiped it off then it was probably dried out) However there are significantly less sperm in pre-ejaculate than ejaculate but as we all know it only takes 1 sperm to fertilize an egg. If he ejaculated recently prior to your encounter and hadn't urinated(which would clean out his urethra of most sperm) then your risk of pregnancy is raised.

Based on the facts you gave, I'd say there's a very very slim chance you're pregnant. But there is a *chance* so you should take a pregnancy test to be sure.

Now you should take this scare as a lesson and be more proactive (instead of re-active) about birth control and STD protection. If you decide to have sex, then you take on a world of responsibilities that go with it. (are you ready for a child?)

Locate a Planned Parenthood Clinic near you, they can help you and provide a ton of resources.
