I had bad postpartum depression and I its rougha and you do feel very unhappy and mad at everyone. I realized it right away and got on medication. but some people are embarrassed to get on med or even admit it so its good you are looking out for her. she may not even realize that is whats happening to her. I took them for about a year. and I thought I would never be normal/ or just be myself again with out meds. but now my daughter is 14 months and I just stopped about 3 weeks ago and I feel great. so sit her down and say hun I think you are going through postpartum depression. tell her its normal and not to be embarrassed it affects1 out of 3 mothers. talk to her about gettin on meds and talking to her doctor. the antidepressents helped me so much. I probably would have lost it or at least lost my husband without some help. its normal your hormones are so out of wack and the lack of sleep and then being a mom (of two), a wife, and so on gets really stressful. so you definetly need to talk to her and see if you can convince her to talk with her doctor. its whats best for her and her kids. if shes not happy, its less likley they will be either. good luck

You asked this the other day

If you need more advice on the topic from what has already been given (in the last one and the post above me...) I suggest webmd.com and whattoexpect.com... or have your sister-in-law/friend call her practitioner- they're excellent resources for information and comfort.
