Posting a letter from south australia to new zeland

Im looking to send a letter from South Australia overseas to New Zeland. I was just curious to know how exactly I would go about doing this, and whether it would cost, where to post it etc. I've'e never sent a letter overseas before and just need a...

Visit http://www.australiapost.com.au, this site should be able to tell you how much it would cost to post an envelope or parcel to New Zealand... Remember New Zealand is the country, you need to know which cities or suburb you want to mail your stuff too as New Zealand isn't a name of a suburb or a city.

Cost factor: Air-mail would cost more but would be quicker for the recipent to receive the goodies and 'snail mail' via a ship would be cheaper but obviously takes longer to get to the designation.
