Portuguese?

is anyone here portuguese?
or speak portuguese fluently?
I dont mean brazilian portuguese, I mean european portuguese
because my boyfriend is portuguese and im meeting his parents soon
and they dont speak much english
well..barely any
and I want to...

be able to talk to them or say some stuff
so is there tips anyone could give me?
or some useful tips on the pronounciation
and please dont send me a link to a site with portuguese phrases
I want to know portuguese thats in date and that people really speak
because quite often what they give on those sites is a lot more formal than how people really speak
