Porkey american portions?

My puppy! =P Asked by youcancallmejess 2 months ago, 3 answers.

Haha, are the American portions really that big compared to England?
I've never been to America before... so are they? Or do people tend to exaggerate?
Thanks =]

No, they are grotesquely large. But they are about as large as you would find in England (except pub fare, which I've found to typically be smaller portions).
We Americans are shameful over-eaters, with disgusting all-you-can-eat buffets for cheap... it's no wonder we are so fat.

Some cities and regions are worse than others in the US however, portion size in general is *way* out of control at most restaurants I've ever been to.

Yeah, America's food portion chart is out of hand. And they wonder why Obesity is an epidemic.
A portion of meat should be no bigger than a deck of cards. However, in most restaraunts, the portions are at last double that.
