What is popular in school and why?

Can someone find me an answer? What is popular? When do popular starts? What are the three major advantages and disadvantages of being popular?

being popular is SO overrated. who cares man, be yourself, stop trying to be something you're not.

At my school its weird everyone goes through different stages of whats popular

One year its preppy, next its gangster, and then emo

But I've always been the same...just me

the advantages are getting w/e you want and like
also getting that supper cute boy you had your eye on

The disadvantages is: you never know how your true friend are
& you may get back stabbed a lot

Being pop is usually someone who is nice, helps others out, like with homework, says positive things, is honest and fun to be with. You don't have to do drugs, have sex, steal, cuss, smoke to be pop, just be yourself. God bless

Being popular at my school, means everything you wear is either Hollister, Abercrombe, or AEagle. The popular kids usually drive nice cars, and have rich parents.. It is overrated. Im not popular, and really could care less.. Ya I think it would be fun but whocares, ITS HIGHSCHOOL the best time ever, dont stress over not being in with the and crowd, I probably have more fun NEWAY!!!

deborah, I like your positive attitude! And you are right. Being popular isn't all it's cracked up to be. Every eye is on you, you can't go anywhere, do or say anything without it going like lightening all over campus. Being one of the 'small fries' would be much less stressful. I guess it's "to each his own"
