How can I stop this club leader popularity contest?

Hi! I need help! I am president for a club at my school, and I feel that the vice president is trying to take over. What should I do? She's one of my friends, but I feel she's making this a popularity competition. I don't know it might just be me, but still! it's drivin me nuts!
