Alot of women will never even know when their cherry has been popped because most women accidentally do it when they use tampons. Its no big deal if it doesnt happen, If it doesnt pop it isnt like it means you arent a virgin.

The simple answer is NO. Breaking the hymen (popping the cherry) does not always cause bleeding. The pain you describe during your first penetration was the breaking of the hymen (the thin membrane blocking the entrance to the vagina).

The fact that a penis has penetrated your vagina means you are no longer a virgin.

Although, fingering or using tampons, can tear the hymen and can cause bleeding, it is usually only considered loss of virginity (in the heterosexual community) if the vagina is penetrated by a penis.

Yes, put it doesn't always hurt, it usually does.
Some people have it poped before sex because of riding a horse or bike and stuff.
Fingering or inserting anything in your vagina may lead to breaking the hymen as well, so it doesn't always break from sex.

Some people have sex a few times and their cherry still doesn't pop, not because of the guys penis, just the hymen is strong.
You may have already poped your cherry and didn't know it.
Just because you already poped your cherry sex can still hurt the first time, or anytime if the guy doesn't know what he;s doing.

I had sex for the first time and nothing happened, it hurt a little but not much. Then the second time I bled, and it hurt a LOT.
