I was eating a pop tart and then wondered how come the makers of poptarts just dont individually wrap one pop tart in a package?

GOOD QUESTION...I've always wondered that myself ...maybe they want to save $ on the wrapping or they want you to share...or they want you to get fat on two instead of one...??? I wrap the other one or I share...Send poptarts a note...

It's marketing -- the chances are, you'll go through the product faster either because one got left to go stale (or do those things last forever?) or because you decided to eat 2 instead of one. Most people will be too lazy to wrap the other up and save it for tomorrow...

All right, I have to step in here. You guys are killing me.

Pop-tarts were invented in the '60s and were specifically designed to be warmed in a 2-slot pop-up toaster. Two slots, two tarts.
