I went into the woods the other day and I just realized today that I have poison oak. I have been putting calamine lotion and tea tree oil on it, but my prom is next friday, and I would really, really love it if anyone had ways to get rid of it by then...it's on the side of my face

Please help...

Try Jewleweed. The Urushiol from poison oak binds to your skin cells and produces the rash and iritatiosn. The active ingredient in Jewleweed called Lawsone binds to the same molecular sites on the skin and effectively locking it out. You want to use ther redish protuberances extending from the lower stems near the ground. Apply the juice from the crushed red knobs. Other things that help include Aloe, Plantain, and Soapwort.

I don't live in the East, so I can't just pick it, plus if I ordered it (hard to do) it wouldn't get here in time for it to heal and all that...sucks!! thanks for your help though..

doctors usually give certain steroids if its on your face and it usually goes away in a week. also keep it REALLLY dry I've had it sooo bad. dry it out everyday or scratch it in shower with disinfectant so it doesnt spread.
good luck

I read this online, seems pretty legitimate...
"There are a couple of effective treatments that I personally have used. The first is to pour 3 cups of Oats (regular-not instant) into a bath of warm water and soak while rubbing the affected area with oats. Do this daily to relieve the itching. The second remedy does not feel good, but kills the poison oak within 2-3 days. Take 1/4 c of bleach and mix with 3/4 c warm water. Apply to the infected area using a washcloth and rub thoroughly-it will burn, but this is normal. *Do Not Use On Face*"
