(narrative poem)

My eyes are switching
From left to right
Up and down
And side to side
Trying to get away

Away from the pain
The heart the stain
That’s left on my heart
Its leaking through

Drip drip drip
I hear...

Is it the clock tick tick ticking?
No it’s of my blood drip drip dripping

Unawaken, unafraid, untouched
My soul lay cold and still
I can hear the start of ticking
As my blood just keeps dripping

My eyes grow heavy slightly
Then I feel my soul releasing from me
I heard a small tap
And my soul came back to me

My chest becoming heavy and hard
The beat of my heart slowing
I’m slowly sinking in the darkness of night
Yet again I heard a small tap bringing back

Who or what disturbs me
From sleeping forever
Is it sorrow knocking at my door?
Or is it life wanting me to survive

The drip or the dripping
The tick of the ticking
And the tap of the tapping
It had all stopped.

Was it finally over
Was I almost there?
Was I gone?
But where have I gone, where?

I saw nothing but a blur
A blur of regret and sorrow
Suddenly I slipped away
Into my so called sleep

I woke up without a clue
Where was I, where were you
Why are you here
Why are you there

Why do you stand?
Staring at me
I’m ashamed, so ashamed
How could this be?

I thought I was gone
Gone forever in my so called sleep
I’m dead, I died
Stop looking at me

I’m invisible
How can you see me?
I’m not a ghost, not a ghost
What can I be?

I’m nothing, oh nothing
How dare you look into my eyes?
Is it tears I see, tears I see
Why is it you who cries

You care, you do
I see and I know that you do
Why do I see?
See pass what is true

I’m crying, I'm crying?
Why do I do such a thing?
Am I still dieing?
Now that you’re with me

Suddenly, I hear the dripping
The ticking
And the tapping
All come back to life

But this time i’m living
Living my life away
I’m alive because of why you
And I am surly willing to stay.
