How do I talk to this girl I like?

I'm so depressed, everyday, this girl that I have loved for five years always talks to her friends and my friends and I can never join in. I am pretty shy and have never been able to sum up enough courage to talk to her about anything other than school work and other normal things. To make matters worse, she has a boyfriend who has better looks and is taller than me and he always seems to appear out of nowhere just when I'm about to try and talk to her. I don't want to uproot their relationship, I just feel like they don't belong together and I just want to say hi to her. This has been happening for months and it has been wearing me down and now I'm at wits end. Please help.

come on just talk 2 her im a girl but I used 2 be just like you but now im so much more out going cause I talked 2 this guy that I was really shy 2 talk 2. so just be your self hope it helps

bump into her and say oh sorry... then a few seconds later be like I think I know you from somewhere or something to say to get a conversation going... that's what my exboyfriend did and we ended up dating for two years.
or just talk to her like on ymspace or aim or something. but like the first person said, really make some kind of move or move on.
