Please help me, i am so confused and don't know what to do!!

last week at a party I pulled this guy I've been crushing on for about
4months. we were together at the party quite a lot and we kissed and
danced several times ... now ever since that party there has been this
strange and awkward tension between us...

that's stopping us from moving
forward, and I really hate that. he goes to the same college as me, and
before the party we were quite good friends and got on well together quite
easily, but it feels like everything has changed now ... 4 days after the
party I had a quick word with him and asked him if he was alright with
me ... and he replied stonily that he was ... it was horrible, the look
on his face was completely expressionless and it is so unlike him to be
that way. however, I did also find out that just after I asked him that he
had just had a bit of a bust up with his drama teacher, so I kind of kicked
myself for my timing. anyway, the thing is that I don't know how to move
forward from this point, and I really want to move past the awkwardness, I
just wish I knew what was going on in his head, what he's thinking, but
seeing as that's damn near impossible, then I guess the next best thing is
to ask you guys for advice, so please help me, I don't want to let this
friendship unravel when it really does seem quite easy to pick the threads
up ... I just don't know how to. help! and why is he being so awkward with
me, is it largely due to my paranoia, am I being too hard on me since it
has just been a week now since the party? sometimes I can feel him looking
at me but everytime I turn to check he looks away ... I really am just so
lost.

the best thing to do is to just sit down a talk about what happened and where it is going to go from here.
