How to let him know I'm there for him?

A good friend of mine is going through a bad time with his marriage at the moment..hes on his own as his wife left him a couple of days ago...hes having a bad time and I want him to know I'm there for him as a friend,I want to send him a nice text message,but I don't want it to sound over friendly...what can I say to him? Any ideas?

how about texting him saying I know your going through I hard time and I will be there as much as I can for you if you ever need to talk you know where I am,

how does this sound for a message

I know your going through a hard time,but if you ever need a good friend 2 talk to 2 you know where I am...sorry I'm such a nuisance.. god knows how your coping at the moment,but you got to be strong,your not alone in how your feeling.I hope things work out for you...
