Am I depressed?

ok so I am depressed and I think I have some kind of anger issues
I flip out over stupid things like video games and I go into a rage breaking things and hurting myself
I've discussed this with my mom and she just said'ha ha no you are fine'
now tell me is my mom wrong or am I just a bratty over-emotional teen
ps.I have a spew of mental disease in my family

IT'S CALLED PUBERTY! I do my friends do every one does it at this age your normal and your mom is right your fine.

the best thing you can do for your self is throw out all the video games and find other things to do, Real life things to give you mind something to work on. Sitting inside playing video games will only increase your rage and frustration

it happens to me too but not over video games
what help is to take a deep breath or 2 and do something relaxing
nothings wrong with you stuff like this happens to my brothers all the time

vultureofculture. Be honest to yourself and you may find the true answers to your anger problem. My only question to you is, 'are video games that important to you where you feel like it's the end of the world if things don't go your way?'

This may have nothing to do with video games. Again, this may have nothing to do with video games! Is there someone in your life who has truely hurted you or has there been an event in your life that hurts you a lot? Take some time to really think about it.

This may be a little long to read but PLEASE READ!! I was watching Dr. Phil a few years ago. There was a couple who was at the verge of divorce because the wife says her husband goes out of control every time he watches football. If his team loses he would yell at the top of his lungs, cry, break things ect... She didn't understand and found this was too hard to deal with so she wanted out. He was asked if he really cared about football and if he even was a big fan of football at all or not. He honestly answered with a confused look on his face that he did NOT care about football all that much but he don't know why he reacts that way. He was asked if there had been a situation in his life where he felt very terrible about or had regrets/guilt. He thought about it and said, yes then cried uncontrollably. He revealed that a few years ago he had accidentally killed a kid after running over him. It wasn't his fault and he didn't get charged. The kid's family had even forgiven him. Dr. Phil then said that he has so much hurt about killing the kid that he didn't allow himself to and didn't know how to reveal it so the only way he can truely reveal that pain was through watching football. He needed a reason to reveal his guilt so when his team loses, he has a reason to be upset. As you can imagine, he and his wife now understood and knew it had nothing to do with football.

It may have something to do with something in your life other than video games. I hope I've helped. Take care.

its really just part of being a teen! maybe your stressed over something and letting it out over everything!!! although, these swings could mean something else...but I wouldnt worry about it..
