Not very effective at all.

There is enough sperm in pre-cum to get you pregnant, and no man can control the pre-cum.

Like playing Russian Roulette.

It kind of depends on how easy you are to get pregnant cause me and my husband never use protection other than pulling out and I have been married for 6 years and the only time we got pregnant is when we wanted to but im not telling you that it will work for you if your with someone that you dont want to have kids with or maybe you just dont want to have kids right now I would go ahead and use protection anyways just to be safe

It's a little better than no precautions.
However, there is sperm in pre come, PLUS when a guy is getting close to climaxing, it is hard to have the moment of clarity needed to pull out ... especially if he is inexperienced.

Well...my husband and I used the pull out method for about a year between our second and third child. It worked good, a lot better than birth control as a matter of fact. I was on birth control when I got pregnant with all my kids (but that's another story). The only reason we used the pull out method is because we didn't really want another child right then but if we had one it wouldn't be a big deal.

Anyway...if you don't want to get pregnant then don't use the pull out method...because there is always a chance, hell there's even a chance when you're on birth control.

But, if you're not going to use protection then it's better than nothing.

Its not effective really at all. Everyone is different. I say use protection regardless of whether you use the pull out method or not. Me and my fiance use that method, but we do it just for that little bit of more help ya know?
