There are many people here on this forum who seem to show the wisdom that God spoke about it the bible, These ones obviously have studied God's word hard and as a result are able to give advice to people, So on a very friendly note I would like to ask these questions.

What is Gods name, And what does it mean?

What is the kingdom of God?

In Daniel it talks of the 69 prophetic weeks, And 70 weeks of years, What does this vital prophecy mean?

Who is babylon the great?

Genesis c 3 v 15 Gives us the first prophecy and the one that shaped the entire bible, What does this mean and how is this tied in with Mathew and Revelation over a thousand years later?

Warm christian love

Holy Moly!!!??? I am the alpha and omega beginning and end...he has always been there... the kingdom of God is all created intelligences both in heaven and on earth who are willingly subject to God in fellowship with him.. the Daniel prophecies are about the Great Tribulation...not an expert there sorry...all I can say is if you are a Christian don't worry about it... not sure about babylon the great...maybe The tower of Babel ?...The last has to do with defeating Satan... well I may not have answered perfectly so if you are really needing answers a Pastor could do it...

Here's a quick attempt:

What is Gods name, And what does it mean?
God has many names, but the big one of the Old Testament is: 'I Am', which kind of sums Him up - He is everything. The big one of the New Testament is 'Jesus' which means: 'He will save His people'.

What is the kingdom of God?
The kingdom of God is the reign of God in our hearts and lives, both now and in Heaven.

In Daniel it talks of the 69 prophetic weeks, And 70 weeks of years, What does this vital prophecy mean?
Not particularly bothered by this one - I could look it up, but, as crysathenemum says, not too much to worry about as God loves us.

Who is babylon the great?
Ancient Rome under the Emperor Nero. Also a symbol of all worldly dictatorships, I suppose.

Genesis c 3 v 15 Gives us the first prophecy and the one that shaped the entire bible, What does this mean and how is this tied in with Mathew and Revelation over a thousand years later?
Emnity between the serpent (evil) and the woman's seed (humanity). Certainly does shape the entire Bible - Matthew (and the other gospels) show how Jesus (the seed) crushes evil once and for all. Revelation - a mixed prophecy, but partly showing the final victory of Jesus over Satan.

Gods name is Yahweh or "Jehovah" which in hebrew means he causes to become.

The kingdom of God is the one mentioned repeatedly in the bible, A kingdom that will bring all other worldly kingdoms to an end, With Jesus king of Gods kingdom, Ruling also with the 24 elders where the anointed also are totaling 144,000. Whilst also having the four living creatures at the 4 corners of Gods throne, These all make up The kingdom. Its purpose is to bring an end to Satans ruling of the world.

The weeks of years spoken of in daniel reflect time scales leading up to the messiahs coming, Where weeks of years in hebrew time scale are easily worked out. The same as Daniels vision of a Giant image of Nebuchadnezzer, Bringing a quick point to that the feet of Iron and clay symbolise our politicaly divided world in the last days, Right back to the other parts of the image.
Babylon the great is the world empire of false religion, In revelation the Babylon the great is symbolised by a harlot who rides a wild beast, This wild beast turns on her in the bible, The wild beast symbolises the goverments of this world, Hence saying the governments of today will turn on religion.

The prophecy in Genesis is telling us that her seed which is the messianic kingdom of which jesus will be king will be bruised in the heel, His seed which is satan and his demons will be bruised in the head, A far more fatal blow.
The bruising in the heel has already taken place with jesus put to death, The bruising in the head of satan will soon take place

Forgive me for this being without qoutes scriptures as I dont have my bible to hand

Jesus is quoted as saying ""The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:14)

"The time is fulfilled" means that whatever 'the kingdom of god' meant, the early Christians believed it had already arrived. Scholars tend to agree that 'kingdom of god' referred to a new paradigm of sharing food among the peasant class, necessitated by the end of the old Jewish shared land philosophy that was destroyed by Roman land ownership laws.

It had nothing to do with the cartoonish end-times scenarios people like LeHaye have concocted by mixing together unrelated portions of the Bible.

The original manuscripts translate it as "Drawn near" not " At hand"

Also many christians are waiting for the kingdom of God to put an end to this wicked system, Daniel says That he will set up a kngdom that will not be brought to ruin, And will crush all other kingdoms ( Man made governments)

So if what you say is right then the hope that the righteous have is sharing food to the poor? How will Jehovah bring judgement by that?

"It does not belong to earthling man to direct his own step" The scholors you speak of remind me of that scripture.

Its been interesting to hear and almost feel the conviction in which people write, and an interesting introduction to these forums.
