Do you know if the guy you had sex with was clean?
if not you can have an std...OR you can have a yeast infection.

you should always pee after sex to get rid of anything thats left in the vagina canal.

dont panick you probably just got cystitis (bladder and urethra infection or irritation)- eat some cranberry tablets and see if it goes away. (savers- about a £) If it starts to go away after a day, then you have diagnosid it correctly and theres no need to see a Doctor.
You might also have thrush (yeast infection in your vag*na)- which is why you could be sore, so get some plain LIVE yogurt on a tampon and leave it there 4 -6 hours then repeat twice. If you feel much better then you had thrush.
If you do the above- do them asap so as to rule out those more infections. If you are not a lot better in 1--2 days you gotta see your GP.
In the meantime- no sex, no soap in your hooha, and no sugar.
Might be pregnant- you need a morning after pill- I think you need to get one from your Doctor- or do they have them at the chemists these days?

you probly have a UTI, if you feel a buring sensation when you pee, and after sex you should always wash after you can go to the store and buy a product called EVE it will be were all the tampons and pads will be, what it is ,is a water solution that cleans and refreshes the vigina, so use that after sex.

Dear babiie_gurl05,
Please do not use any type of vaginal cleansing such as douche. This upsets the natural process and if you do have a STD or yeast infection you will make it worse. When ever you notice a change such as burning and itching you need to see your doctor ASAP. If you have a clinic near by it may be quicker to see a doctor this way. Have them give you a pregnancy test and STD testing as well as yeast and bladder infection tests.
Sue...good luck

Firstly, you should never self-diagnose yourself. Go and see your local Dr and explain the symptoms. Your doctor will take a urinary sample, and a sample from your vagina (for chlamydia). These symptoms are extremely common in both men and women. It most probably is a simple urinary tract infection, bladder infection, vaginal infection, or it could be chlamydia. Either way, it needs to be properly diagnosed. If chlamydia remains untreated, it can be very serious and cause fertility problems, it is easily treated. It it is an urinary tract infection, if it remains untreated, they will eventually spread to the kidneys and make you VERY ill - ie lethargic, sore back, fever, vomiting. Burning and itching are not normal post-intercourse reactions, go get it checked out.

Also, putting yoghurt on a tampon is the most stupid thing I've ever heard. It is more like to give you an infection than treat one.
