I'm sure you are good enough, But theres like a month period you have to be on the site for.
You have to have answered a large variety of questions and deemed advisor worthy by the advisors and the editor of the site I think happy

Don't listen to ichibanarky... you do have an understanding of basic etiquette, you've answered a lot of questions... maybe just hang on a bit longer =]

You obviously are not aware of the things that she has done, so if you don't mind - state your opinion, but don't ever tell someone not to listen to someone else.

Well I think if she works harder she will become an advisor but I did not read on the rules that she is not aloud to tell some one not to listen to some one else not to listen unless you consider it startting a fight but I think she was just trying to help the other person out because maybe your first question may have upset the first answer you gave.
