What is a jack equal to in cards I think its 11 but im not sure

in most card cames jack, queen and kings stand for 10..ace can stand for 1 and 11..

Depends on the card game. The standard order is A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. Generally Ace is highest, but it can also go before 2 if you want. In black jack face cards (J, Q, K) all count as 10 and ace can be either 11 or 1, again at your option. Otherwise you usually don't add up numbers, so a jack is just a jack. Even though it's higher than 10 and lower than a queen in a lot of games (but not all) you don't really need to think of it as a number.
