there actually are pirates still around today, can't trust em though. Your best bet would be to get your own speed boat and your own crew

It's Illegal in virtually all parts of the world to be a pirate. However, I suggest searching around coastal bars of third world nations. Not many pirates in the USA anymore.

Or perhaps you could start by advertising in your local paper.
Something like :
Pirate available. Willing to plunder, steal valuables, scuttle ships. Non-smoker.
Health excellent. Available for immediate start. Have own parrot and eye-patch.
