My skin is really tough, so all the mild stuff like pro-active and clean and clear didn't work for me. I had to go to a dermatologist and first I tried Retin-A gel and tetrocyclene, and then a stronger retin-A and monocyclene, and then I tried benzaclin which worked really well, and then I stopped that for a while and tried All-Clear and that is quite strong - you have to make sure you use all three products: the astingent, the creame and the face scrub. Benzaclin really worked well, I'd suggest that. But if you don't want to go to a dermatologist, definitely ask your family doctor if she has any suggestions.
My sister swears by Witchhazel with aloe, which you can find at Wal Mart or similar places. Also, if you use concealer or cover up, make sure it's non-communogenic (sp), it's better for your skin and isn't oil based.
Good luck!
