Piggy problem

Um I have a guinea pig that I adopted and hes really cute but he's very overweight and I cant get him to move and round and exersize. ( I didnt make him fat, he was abused not by me) how do I get him to move around? Is he lonely or depressed?

they have guinea pig leaches walk him around w/ on around the house. but fat animals are cute c my 20lbs cat
