Piercing danger...

I am planning on piercing my ears tonight up in the cartilage. What should I do, like us a saftly pin and a lighter or something, or should I get sumthing better because I have heard you could get blood poisoning from certain metals. I already have my...

ears tripple pierced in the lobes, but I had it done professionally. and I was just wondering if there is anything else that could go wrong...like could I pinch a nerve or sumthing? But I need response fast because I am going to do it soon. Thanks

I would advise against piercing your own cartilage - have a professional do it. There are just too many risks involved with self-piercing.

you sound like you dont know what your doing
and I definatly wouldnt advise that you do it
a safety pin is rediculously small, no peircing jewelrey is that thin
just save up 20 bucks and get it done profesionally
and hopefully not at a salon or mall because those people, like you are unprofesional and not trained
and dont get it done with the gun
those things are fll of germs from other people blood
im sure in the long run youd rather have a neat peircing than one thats crooked or off to the side, and had battled an infection that could have been avoided

hehehehe. I Just Pierced my left ear up in the cartlidge!! Oh my god it hurt so bad. Pain doesnt really bother me though...I pushed the needle thrue it and then pulled it out and put the earing in and it was like in the perfect place and I looked at the veins with a flash light and I got it in like the PERFECT place. But I will never do it again because when I put the earing in I got it all the way thew except for the little layer of skin in the back...and it sucked because I messed with it for like 30 minutes and even almost gave up but I finally got it thew and not hopefully it wont get infected. :DDD

Ouch please don't do it yourself - it sounds sooo painful and whats the big deal with getting it done professionally???
