imprudent, while I applaud your bravery, I frown upon your stupidity. Sure, piercings have been around longer than the pros. Heck, so has surgery, if you want to really think about it. But would you let an amateur surgeon cut you open? Would you perform surgery on yourself, just because you thought you knew what you were doing? A piercing should be treated as surgery. While it is imperative to clean all piercing tools, I doubt the average person has the machinery required to properly sterilize them. If they're not sterilized, they're dangerous. Would you let a surgeon cut you open with a knife that he sterilized by boiling it in a pot of water or alcohol? I don't think so.

What about if you don't do it the moron way and get it done with a professional? Or risk getting tons of infections and end up with a green ear or belly button? :D

Listen, you DON'T pierce ANYTHING yourself. Only a true moron would even THINK about doing ANY piercing by their self. Piercings are meant to be done PROFESSIONALLY... no matter what. If you pierce it yourself, chances are you'll end up with infections, it won't heal up correctly, and you probably won't even pierce it right to begin with. Don't listen to ANYONE giving you tips on how to do this yourself. Seriously, they're full of sh*t. They're NOT professionals and they DON'T know what they're doing. Neither do you for that matter. If they would claim to be a professional piercer, ignore them because they're lying. If they were truly a professional, they'd be saying DON'T EVER do ANY piercing yourself. ALWAYS get your piercings done by a PROFESSIONAL like myself.

Listen to my advice, I know what I'm talking about. You WILL regret doing it yourself and you'll be wishing like hell you would have gotten it done professional. It'll be well worth the price and you won't be sorry, I promise. By getting it done professionally, you will KNOW it's done right and you will have a VERY LOW risk of infection *if you care for it properly that is*. So seriously, DON'T DO IT YOURSELF. Get it done by a PROFESSIONAL.

You can potentially get infections from doing it yourself, which could leave you with bad scars or worse. Why don't you wait until you can go to a professional to do it? Besides from getting a safe and professional piercing, you will also get the proper after-care advice.

Okay so piercings have been around wayy longer than the pros, so do whatever. It's your body; you will be the one to make the decisions. I have over 15,and I've done about half of them myself. Including tragus, septum, naval, and lip. As long as you clean everything you use, and know what you are doing, all goes well. Clean your new piercing twice a day with antibacterial soap, nothing harsh like peroxide, and you are good to go.

even if you get it done professionally the belly button is a hard piercing to heal...because you bend so much and etc...especially if you have pudge...not saying you do this is just fact...I have a huge scar on my belly button which I had done professionally...my belly button would just not take the ring...I would say not to do it...unless you take your chances professionally...but it's your own decision and your probably like me that if you want something you kinda just do what you want anyway :] hope all heals well lol.

Are you an idiot?! NEVER pierce ANYTHING yourself! Save that for the professionals who actually know what they're doing.

Try researching how to properly sterilize the needle, study the anatomy of the area you wanna pierce then go for it if you still feel up to it..

I have done all my piercings myself, ear loe, 2nd ear lobe , 3 times. and 3 cartilage.
none of them got infected I had to take them out as I was not allowed.
you just need to take good care of them and use gold earrings to minmise rick also sterilise the needle in boiling water and wash your hands beore you do anything
putting witch hazel gel on the needle also helps and clean your piercing with TCP to stop it getting infected.
I used a sewing needle to pierce mine and they are FINE.
dont tell me im stupid , I do it myself because I dont like the idea of other people doing it.

Hey, its you're decision if you want to peirce you're lobes or belly yourself, thats fine. I know its dangerous and stuff but I've done it too. I had an earing in my navel for 3 days then it came out because the skin wasn't thick enough. If you really wanna do you're lobes you should use a sterile needle, some ice and a lemon because its citrusy and cleans you're ear and soothes the pain. Its not living the moron way you live and learn. Good luck happy
