a year ago I pierced my belly button by myself. Then I took it out. Will I be able to get it re-done professionally? There is a little scar. What if I chose to get it done anyway what will happen. It never got infected either

1st of all NEVER pierce yourself, you can cause major infection, or a life long illness!!! TRUST ME!! my little sister did that, and got a staph infection, which is now in her blood, and if she doens't handle it properly, it can kill her over time!! 2nd, yes you can get it done again professionally, but it takes longer to heal, and hurts more!!! I had to get it redone, after a professional messed mine up the 1st time! as a work of caution, always go to someone that has been doing it for a while!! **You get what you pay for!**

I did the same thing. I peirced it myself, and it actually got ripped out like the whole thing which is GROSS, but like a yr. later I got it done professionaly, and I had a big scar from the 1st time, and it didnt hurt as bad as it did when I did it myself, but any ways it never really healed right, I don't know if it was because I did it wrong the 1st time, or that it got ripped out the 1st time, or what but I had to take it out, and now I cant get it done, EVER again, which is kinda depressing because they are really cute.

Odds are you probably didn't get it at the right depth in the first place so having it re-pierced might not hurt because they won't be going thru the same spot exactly. Just make sure to go to someone that has been doing them for awhile and be sure to tell them just how and what you did.
