Has anyone had to have a late circumsision for their child?

has anyone here had to get their child a curcumsision at the age of 8 due to a medical problem. I am having to go through it now and am nervous for the little dude. poor thing is going to be sore for a while.

He will be fine hun. Just be prepared to keep him as comfortable as possible. There are some adults that have to have that proceedure. It is much easier for a child. Adults, wither patients or parents, tend to think about the situtation more. Therefore making it mentally harder to deal with. Just be brave around him. If he sees you scard he will be scard. Have Faith and all will be well.

hi my son had it done when he was 10 after having infection after infection down there.The op itself took about 15 mins and was in hospitol for a few hours. he had 2 weeks off school and was sore for few weeks but no more infections.My son did decide to tell his friends BIG MISTAKE!!!They now call him half a bell!!!

hehe I dont think my son will be telling his mates hes a very private little dude where his bits are concerned. he has been very brave letting the doctor even look at it. with the way we have to bring our kids up now telling them that no one should ever touch or look at there privates its hard to explain that doctors are allowed as long as mummys there. thanks for answering I apreciate it. xx
