Persuading mum ...

I really want either my nose or tounge peirced.. But my mum wont let me..
How can I persuade her to let me have it done

The right thing, honor your parents wishes and get it later as an adult if you like.

There are always 2 sides to an argument. Listen to the reasons she gives for disapproving (and if she's only saying cause I said so ask her calmly and maturely to discuss her reasoning) You have a better chance of getting what you want if you can show her you listened, let her know you considered her opinions and address her concerns.

For example, if she says no because the look could give employers the wrong impression, tell her you'll take it out when it's time to find a job. If she has health related concerns assure her that you know how to keep it clean and won't allow it to get infected. etc.

Get the toungue piercing and make damn sure your mom never sees it. :]

tell her that a friend offered to do it for you, and if she really wants you to get some sort of disease or would she rather be there for you and have it done professionally
