Why was my period over a week late?

I finally got my period this month but its about 10 days late..and its never been late before and I've had it for about 4 years now..what are possibilities it was so late???

sometimes my period comes late too but when you have it for a qhile it changes its cycle it may come late or it may come early it may be long or it may be short

mine comes late a lot too
it usually doesn't come montly neither. usually ever other month or every 2 months. it's kinda nice lol
I've had mine about 3 years now so I'm guessin it's normal
but if ya get worried bout it that could casuse it to be late also
if your curious talk to your mom or sister *if you have a sis*

not sure. I didn't have my period yet. but maybe soon. but a boy in my class actually did!!! OMG! his name is logan.
how is it like? I'm 92 and I still didn't have my period, but mine might come early! I was held back a little in school.

Variations in you menstrual cycle can be a normal variation of your hormone cycles. Several factors can influence your cycle such as stress, recent weight loss, being under your ideal body weight, and hormone therapy (like birth control pills). You probably should not be concerned about slight variations such as one week's difference unless you are experiencing a lot of cramping or heavy discharge. I would recommend that if the problem persists, you should visit your family doctor or nurse practitioner to see if there are underlying problems.
