Ell: That sounds awful, I'm so sorry. I can relate to the misery of long periods, for the first four and a half years I was menstruating I had some serious complications that almost killed me, but also gave me three week long periods. I can't imagine a four week long one, and then especially if you are trying to get pregnant. I am pretty sure that you should go to see your ob/gyn about it though because it is probably causing you to be anemic from the blood loss. I looked birth control injections up online and found Lunelle, I'm not sure that that is the one you are taking, but it says that periods should only take one to three months for your menstruation to regulate itself. So my suggestion is again to go to your ob/gyn and she will probably find some manner of hormone regulation. There are always alternative methods for having children like artificial insemination. Don't stress yourself out too much about it though, modern science is good to women and you'll be able to find a way. If you need anything else just funmail me and Bri and I'll try and figure it out. Good Luck,
Ell

I am sorry, last year I was on my period for about 10 months, I know it's not fun. Sometimes you can mess up your hormones when you go on and off birth control, and the depo shot does sometimes screw up fertility for some time. However you may want to talk to your dr about it...
